Q: The milk does not get to 150 degrees Fahrenheit!! It only gets to about 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't know if there's something wrong with mine, but how to I make it get hotter?
A: Mine also does not get very hot! Disappointing!
submitted byJamie - 3 months agoA: The frother heats the milk for about one minute until it is approximately 158 degrees Fahrenheit. If you feel that there are any issues with your product please contact Bodum support at support@bodum.com for further assistance.

Q: Does anyone else's milk spill out? It seems like I'm the only one. How does everyone keep their milk from spilling over? Thanks!
A: I know it depends on the type of milk used, how full you fill it, and if you use the whisk attachment or not. I have had another milk frother spill over due to using the wire whisk and filling it up to the max line (meant for without wire whisk).
submitted byA Boy - 6 years agoA: I have found that DHA milk foamer more than regular milk. If you're using DHA milk, try a quart of regular not-dha and see if that fixes you. And clearly, stay below the max fill line, as I'm sure you are. Hope this helps!

Q: Does it foam alternative milks well?
A: I managed to use silk milk's almond milk vanilla flavor, fine in it.
submitted byHowdy - 6 years agoA: You can use coffee creamers like Coffee Mate as well as milk, 1/2 & 1/2, heavy cream, whatever you like. I have used all of the above and they all turn out well.

Q: Can I use half 'n half in the milk frother. I like the richer taste of half 'n half. Thanks.
A: I have not tried it with half 'n half. I prefer nonfat milk because it foams up more. However, I see no reason why it wouldn't work with half 'n half. I tried almond milk. It worked fine, but it did not make as much foam.
submitted byrungram - 6 years agoA: You can use half and half, and it's delicious!

Q: will it work for a Macha latte?
A: Thank you for your question! The BISTRO Electric Milk Frother is perfect for creating frothed milk to add to already whisked matcha for a delicious matcha latte. However, we do not recommend adding matcha powder or any other ingredients directly into the frother. Doing so could clog the whisk, affect performance, and potentially scorch onto the interior, making it difficult to clean. Hope this helps!

Q: What is the nonstick material? Is it free of PFAS, PFOS, and PFTE?
A: Thank you for your question! The BISTRO Electric Milk Frother features an ILAFON food-safe, non-stick coating that is free of PFOAs and PTFEs. Hope this helps!

Q: Can I make hot cocoa by mixing cold milk and cocoa mix powder?
A: We don’t recommend preparing hot cocoa mix in the frother itself. This could clog the whisk and impact the device’s performance, and could make the frother more difficult to clean. Instead, heat cold milk in the frother first, and then add the mix and hot milk together in a mug.
